From humble beginnings as a plasterer Perry founded A1 Interiors in 1988. Over this time Perry has directed the growth of the company to its present day format. He has held positions as the State and Federal President of the AWCI over the years and continues to work with suppliers and industry groups to better develop and enhance the industry. Perry also plays an active part in the training of new staff and mentoring our division leaders.
Bill is a Chartered Accountant and Business Manager of more than 35 years’ experience. He ran his own Public Accounting business and it was in this capacity that he acted as external accountant to A1 for over 20 years. Bill has a vast amount of experience with the Building & Construction industry. He brings a strong focus on quality systems and job reporting to ensure works are done on time on budget.
Scott is the General Manager and Fire Certifier at A1 Passive Fire. With over 10 Years combined experience in the Building Certification and Passive Fire industries, Scott brings a broad range of knowledge to the team. As the Fire Certifier Scott uses his knowledge of Building legislation and the Test Reports to ensure that a solution is provided to all situations that results in compliant installation of Passive Fire protection. Scott is the newest member of our team and is determined to provide Passive Fire Certification with a high level accuracy & quality as has come to be expected of the A1 Passive Fire Team.
Scott is the Project Manager at A1 Passive Fire and utilises his 16 years of experience in the construction industry and 6 years in Passive Fire to deliver effective and compliant systems or solutions on every project. His strong technical knowledge of passive fire ratings provides assurances of accuracy and quality as one of our passive fire certifiers.
Brigette is the Project Coordinator at A1 Passive Fire, working closely with the General Manager, Project Manager and onsite teams to ensure all projects are operating with the highest level of quality and productivity. With over 20 years in the administrative field, Brigette’s skills ensure accurate reporting the maintenance of regulatory compliance registers, as well as business development for A1 Passive Fire.
As a registered builder since 1978, Shane has consistently delivered five-star results for A1’s residential division. Shane has also contributed to a number of the awards won by A1 Interiors. Drawing on decades of experience Shane provides outstanding service for clients on a daily basis, going above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction on every project.
Stan is a supervisor within our residential department. His background originates from 18 years of experience on the tools and as a site foreman. Having worked for both commercial and residential teams there isn’t a project too big for him. He specialises in completing large townhouse/unit projects. The experience Stan has acquired allows him to solve any issues that might arise onsite to ensure the client’s wishes are carried out an exceptional level.
Having worked as a plasterer for more than 20 years, Matt has gained a wealth of knowledge in this field, spending the majority of his career working within the Commercial sector Matt now divides his time between a variety of roles including Finishing Foreman, Supervisor and Project Management. Matt has also completed his Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to help train apprentices become the future of the industry.
Having started at A1 as a cadet Lukas has quickly moved his way up and is now in charge of the residential division. Lukas has recently graduated from QUT with a Construction Management degree. Completing his degree and working at the same time has allowed Lukas to put the theory into practice and absorb a wealth of knowledge in the industry. His skills include contract administration, estimating and project coordination making a great fit to lead the residential team.
Dixon is an Estimator at A1 Interiors with focus on residential and facilities fit-out projects. He has over 13 years of architectural design and construction experience and has held various roles from project coordinator to a project manager in Singapore---overseeing condominiums, integrated resorts, hospitals and commercial high-rise building projects. His previous roles are an added leverage in the preparation of competitive take-offs on tender requests.
As the Company Accountant, Lea has been with A1 for the past four years. Lea’s expertise lies in financial reporting, job analysis and cost control, cash flow projection, budgeting and employee benefit accounting. With a background in the financial services industry, Lea is also highly skilled with loan processing and interest computation procedures, integration and financial system migration. As a CPA qualified accounting professional, Lea has over 15 years experience in operations, finance and the construction industry.
As the Administration Assistant, Anya ensures the efficient flow of administrative duties. Her background in marketing and business development with international organisations helps her take on her responsibilities. Her number one priority is contributing to the overall effectivity of the A1 team’s performance.
